Cubs – Epic Survivor Challenge Pack Holiday

EPIC SURVIVOR CHALLENGE PACK HOLIDAY

 Hello parents,

For our pack holiday this year we are on an Epic Survivor Challenge and as the tale goes we may find ourselves marooned on Eumeralla Island.

To help create a sense of theme we would appreciate each cub coming prepared with a “Robinson Crusoe” styled outfit most typically rough cut off jeans, tattered shirt, crumpled hat and the like. Having the whole pack dressed in theme helps utilize and engage the cub’s imagination as we venture through the weekend.

Our weekends away would not happen without some great parent help in the kitchen and many thanks to Gill Dwyer, Richie Saker and Dean Sleigh for giving their weekend time to keep the Pack well fed and nourished. We will need parent assistance with the purchase of the food in the days before the pack holiday so please let me know if you are able to help out.

A Pack Holiday has many cost components including accommodation, food and activity materials and the ultimate cost per Cub Scout is $70.00 for a weekend of fun and adventure.

However as a result of the magnificent fund raising efforts by our families throughout the year the Group is able to partially subsidise each attending Cub Scout by $20.00 with the cost to attend reduced to $50.00 per Cub Scout. We gratefully thank the Group Committee and all those families that assist with fundraising for their efforts throughout the year and this assistance.
