The Moonee Valley District Walter Murphy Hide hike will be held at Rowallan, around the Mt Charlie area. It will involve a day hike around Mt Charlie, starting and finishing at Rowallan, a distance of about 11-12km.
Scouts will hike in Patrols and there will be bases and check-points along the way. Scouts will then camp at Rowallan and participate in activities on Sunday.
This hike can count towards the Pioneer Level badge, and provides good practice for anyone planning to attend the Explorer level hike later this term.
