The Jamboree Preparation Camp is a vital part of the Jamboree experience where our Scouts can get together with the rest of the Scouts in our Jamboree Troop. On this camp we will be forming the Patrols and selecting Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders for our Troop. It is an opportunity for the Patrol members to get to know each other so that they can work together to get the most from their Jamboree experience.

TRANSPORT: Scouts will depart from 6th Melbourne Scout Hall at 8:30am Saturday and return by 3:00pm Sunday.
CAMP COST: the cost of this camp will be $120 to be deposited to the Glenelg District Scout account as below:

The cost covers:
- Food – $25
- Accomodation – $12
- Custom Troop shirt, badges and scarf to be designed at this camp – $60
- Troop expenses fund for incidentals (eg. extra sun screen, replace broken equipment etc.) – $20
We will have a small quantity of shirts at the camp to select sizes as we will order only one per Scout and won’t be able to exchange.
The Jamboree Troop Leaders will be arriving the night before on 23rd November to get to know each other better. Drop off for this camp is a chance to meet us and we will be also be available to meet with parents and answer questions.
At this camp,
- Scouts will receive the rest of their troop gear including their Victorian contingent shirt
- Enjoy some fun scout activities
- Use equipment that we will use at jamboree
- Learn camp rules and systems for jamboree.
PERSONAL EQUIPMENT: Please have your Scout pack for this camp as they would for Jamboree. Make sure they pack for themselves so that they know what they have and where it is. Also, all gear including sleeping bag and mat must fit inside your main bag and day pack.

TRANSPORT: Parents may choose to take the chance to drive in order to meet the leaders. For parents unavailable to drive, we can co-ordinate transport with other families.
