Gang Show

The 2015 Gang promises a show full of excitement, rhymes and maybe even a laugh!

gangshow2015Melbourne Gang Show is a youth musical, put on by the Scouts and Guides of the Melbourne area.  140 Scouts and Guides invite you to join them for our 63rd year.

It would be great if we could attend as a group from 6th Melbourne.  Email with a preference to performance date if you are interested ASAP

Gang Show is written, produced, directed, and performed completely by Scouts and Guides. It is supported by a strong team of parent helpers who help to keep things running smoothly. Melbourne Gangshow – along with other shows of its kind – gives young people a chance to be involved in a theatre environment while still instilling them with some of the skills and ideals that Scouting and Guiding promote: Self confidence, team work, leadership and friendship, among other things.

This years stories are:

One Final Page

When the ANZACs left for WW1 those left behind accepted the challenge. This year Gang Show brings you the struggle of the Sullivan family. Young Jack, traumatized by the recent death of his mother and the departure of his father, is sent from Melbourne to the family property in St. Arnaud run by his matriarchal grandmother. She, too, is finding it difficult despite her conservative exterior. Through the magic of Jack’s hilarious artistic imagination, he not only rescues himself but also saves his Grandmother and gives strength to the community.

Ratz

The perfectly perfect town is perfect in every way except one. They are riddled with Ratz, rambunctious, rebellious and slightly smelly kids that run amock around the town and ruin the perfection. So the towns people need to hire the Pfieffer to rid themselves of these vermin. In the process they lose a little more than expected but gain much in return.
