The group is planning to participate in the Dawn Service held by the Flemington/Kensington RSL. The commemoration starts with a march from the RSL in Rankins Road to the cenotaph on Racecourse Road opposite Safeway. After the service, there is a breakfast at the RSL.
This is a good opportunity for our members to understand the importance of the day. It is also a component of Citizenship for the Scouts and the Their Service, Our Heritage badge for Cubs.
Personal Information Record forms are required if parents are not planning to participate themselves.
Dress Code
The Scout Association place a very high importance on appropriate respect for the occasion and request that we adhere to the following guidelines regarding uniform:
Scout Shirt & Scarf – Please ensure the scarf is well rolled and neat.
Pants or Skirt – Plain black, navy blue or beige – no patterns
Polished Shoes – this is ideal. However, if not available please select the most subdued plain shoes available.
Absolutely no jeans or torn clothing.
