The Stradbroke Cup is a camping competition run over the Eastern weekend, a perfect way for Scouts to satisfy the “four nights under canvas continuously” requirement for a Jamboree or extended camp. The whole event is an opportunity for Scout Troops and Patrols to have an enjoyable camping experience and live the fellowship of a large combined camp. This competition is run at several venues around Victoria and we aim to participate in the venue at Treetops Scout camp, (near Riddell’s Creek, similar location as Rowallan), located adjacent to the Mt. Charlie State Forest at the North East end of the Macedon Ranges, approximately 1 hour North-West of Melbourne. Scouts will meet at our Scout Hall at 430pm on Thursday 5th April and pack all equipment.
Cost: $ 85 per scout (to buy food and cover registration costs). We will need parents to assist with transport for the trip to Treetops Scout Camp on Thursday afternoon and for the return (pickup from Treetops at 2:15 PM) on Monday.
